What is ScanMind, and what makes it private?
ScanMind is a local-first iPhone document scanner and organizer for iOS 17 or later. It captures or imports source pages, performs current OCR and supported field extraction on the iPhone, keeps suggestions editable, and files confirmed records into a searchable library. No ScanMind account is required, and the app includes no advertising or cross-app tracking SDK. Documents can still leave the app when you deliberately export or share them, enable optional sync to your own iCloud Drive, or use an Apple-managed device backup. OCR and extracted fields can be incomplete or wrong, so ScanMind preserves the original for comparison and does not claim to provide certified transcription, legal interpretation, or medical, safety, or regulatory verification.
